Selamat Berpuasa everyone. and thank you for the birthday/belated birthday wishes.

ive been neglecting this blog. i’ve been busy with The Cakery. It’s puasa, and and every puasa, The Cakery turns in to a lean mean brownie machine (gun). Oh i havent even had TIME to update my cakery blog. lol. my last update was from last year. haha. nice one.

how’s everyone anyway? im tired. been feeling fatigue from the start of puasa. the usual deal. biggest challenge ever is to wake up in the morning and stay awake for the rest of the working hours. sudah balik all u want to do is nap. sudah malam, you can’t sleep from all the napping that you did in the arvo. and this is the way it is for the whole 29 days.

i’ve also been keeping myself busy by watching episodes of Mind Your Language on Youtube. I am now contemplating whether to open up portuguese eggtarts slots this weekend. ngaleh ku me roll-roll pastry atu sama apanahhhhhh.. last week there was an issue of butter being laiden with pig dna . lol. DNA. what a joke. It was probably the biggest controversy that has ever hit the baking scene. thank god i am using Anchor for my brownies, pasal anchor, ada DNA KUCING saja.

but i can’t help but sympathize with #brunei’sharirayabakers imagine those aunties and grandmas who have prepared hundreds and hundreds and thousands of cookies and kek lapis ready to be sold for raya? :S i kasian. im just hoping that this halal/non-halal issue would blow over in the next few days.
