Chicken Fot Fye.

On most days my blog is just a blog, but today my blog is a food blog. Just wanted to share with you guys what i had for lunch today. Inspired by Nigella’s recipe for chicken pot pie i’ve decided to make my own.. oh also, i had some puff pastry (or puff daddy whichever u like) in my disposal..what better use for it than to use it for chicken pot pie?

Ingredients Nigella used
Bacon
Butter
Thyme
Chicken Stock
Water
Chicken Thigh fillet
Mushrooms
Flour
chicken stock
Puff Daddy

Ingredients i used
Bacon.. hehe ..everything accept bacon.

Directions
Heat Olive oil in pan. Sautee Mushrooms, i used Portabello Mushrooms. Cut chicken in to little pieces, dredge in flour. Chuck in a knob of butter in to the mushrooms then the chicken..Season with thyme, i only used abit because i’m not too fond of it. Once the chicken is browned,put in water. Just enough to drench the chicken and chicken stock.

Put chicken mixture in an oven-proof ramekin like dish. Honestly, i didnt even know if the dish that used in the picture above was oven proof. huhu. “OOPs!!!” anyway, then cover dish with puff daddy.


pierce holes on the surface of the puff daddy. But not too much. I went mental with the holes and the pastry ended up sinking a little bit. hahaha.

Bake in oven heated at 220 degrees. Until brown.

Heading down to the pharMACY, the flu-like symptoms im having doesnt seem to be going away. and its been 3 days. U know that feeling mcm kan damam rasanya? tapi inda damam? aaah. ive been experiencing that and its annoying. baik plang tantu2 damam tu.
