mummy mummy minta duit, minta seringgit..membali coklet.

2nd last day in melbourne. last night in melbourne. whoop whoop (with a sad face). lol how can you whoop whoop with a sad face ah? u can only do it when you’re on holidays i guess. lol. a few more days and then back to reality. i will transform in to Cinderella again.. but a fatter, unlhealthier, ASIAN KAMPONG GIRL version.

i’ve gained so much weight it’s not even funny. from day one, i was worried that ive gained a few pounds since the Hungarian trip and will gain a few more pounds this trip. tapi yang hairannya, the more i worry, the more i ate. so what’s the point kan? i had to let myself go..just for a few more days. i’m sure it’ll be easy to get back in to the rythm of (the falling rain…) exercising when i get home.

so, thats what ive done the whole time im here. makan till the heart is content. the following is a list of eateries that i’ve patroned since arriving in melbourne:

Nandos – 3 days in a row.
Koko Black – For the best ice chocoloate in the ice chocolate planet
Old Kingdom – the best (halal) peking duck in town.
Flemington Kebabs – the only place where i can find toasted kebabs.
Max Brenners – also 3 days in a row. ill probably puke at the mention of STRAWBERRIES AND FONDUE at the end of the trip.
Esteler – Nasi Uduk
Achelya – for over-priced Iskander.
the movies for Boysen berry choc top!

yum. im just waiting for the rain to clear up so that i can go for my run. im just creating more space to eat.

like they say..

“when in melbourne, eat like a pig and then go home looking like a pig, go stadium, sweat like a pig and until don look like a pig anymore”

no idea who said this. but, hey. wise words. the one who thought of it must be a very wise woman.. (points to self ooo yeahhh!!!)

*pinches own cheeks*

syazwana, u so cute wo.

kizz me.

Money Talk

. If there’s anything else that melbourne is famous for apart from it’s food and coffee culture, it would be shopping. And i’m not just talking about the generic lines of clothing shops such as Sportsgirl, Cotton On, Supre, Dotti and more recently Zara. Melbourne was famous for its secret little clothing boutiques tucked behind quiet lanes.

These precious boutiques would usually carry a selection of cute and trendy clothing by local and international designers.. and perhaps what makes the shops more special are their interiors. Depending on the owners individual taste and creativity, the shops would usually have quirky designs.

ive managed to cover all the main streets that the shops are located in the city in one day. Most of the old ones have gone bankrupt. At first i thought it was just me… turns out that i was right, my friends who are in retail here confirmed that retail in melbourne, is just as good as dead.

A friend that runs a boutique here somewhere in the city used to earn approximately $30,000 a month and this has significantly reduced to only 10k-15k/month. which is crazy kan? The aftershocks of the 08 Global financial crisis was the major culprit for this but things have been made more difficult with increase in property/shop rentals . Despite the fact that the australian economy is now at its highest point, ever since the global financial crisis, it was a bit too late, the damage has been done.

The main players in the industry (the more generic brands) would have the $$ to continue on and flourish, but the small businesses (the boutiques, what melbourne is famous for) have no choice but to close shop.

I’ve also noticed how the quality of material that some of the shops use have been significantly downgraded. The impact is evident on the fashion industry especially when you’re in a business of selling something that is not a NEED but a WANT.

bagus la i guess no shopping for me! it’s ok. im fine to just veg out on the couch in front of nawa’s big ass tv the whole time im here 😀

kiss me.

back in melbourne!!

woot. woot.

Second day.

ive been woot wooting all week. barijap. krg jadi woot woot.

‘woot woot’ ani kalau benda, apa bendanya? it sounds like a penyumbat. ku woot woot krg mulut mu.

ran from city point – south gate- melbourne central. surprisingly, it wasn’t even an 8km run. 7 ganya. what do you know, melbourne’s not so big after all. it’s pretty gloomy and cold and i didn’t even run the whole stretch. the cold air makes it harder for me to run. balik ku kerumah tadi AMPUS. hahaha. it was really embarassing to stand next to the other pedestrians at a traffic light.. WHEEZING. ilang cool. lawa sudah makai seluar dalam di luar mcm superman. huhu.

didn’t do much today. not planning to. im off to coles in abit. and then im gonna call it a day.

its so good to not be doing anything. 😀

kith me.

Jet lagged.

ish.
so i slept some time around 2am. and some time around 4am, my eyes have refused to go back to sleep. I have work in 2hours. what is up yo!?

now i’m just browsing you tube like a nocturnal University student.

i shouldve just stayed a uni student forever.

kiss me.

Melbourne, im on my way. Work, please fuck off…for a while :D

back in my home land. where dangdut is the music of my country , mengayau gambus is a fav past time, thick slabs of butter and coconut jam on bread is considered breakfast not DESSERT, the weather is HOT that you walk in the sun with an umbrella.

i love you Brunei Darussalam.

My Budapest nightmare is finally over and i’m now cooking up a Melbourne trip. see, good things DO come to those who weight (i gained a little in the last week. not too much but i hope to get it out of the way before tuesday).

Return Ticket – Check
Visa – Check
Baju Sajuk – …

i heard it’s freezing in Melbourne. This i’m not looking forward to. But it’s probably the BEST time to take up Bikram hot yoga. it’s been a while. i doubt as i am limber as i (never) used to be but at the same time i doubt i’d be able to RUN in freezing cold weather.

cousin took me for a run when i was in london in February. My nose got so numb that i tot it would fall off. they were really dry too, it was like breathing in hot dry air. i think i only managed to 4km around hyde park kali. whatever it was, pokoknya it wasn’t a fun run la. and the problem with running in cold weather, u don’t get to sweat. so if you’re looking in to shedding a couple of pounds..you’re better off going to the gym. yawn.

anyway, thank god i came home on a thursday. Which means that i had today (friday) to do whatever i want. which i did. and i’m COUNTING MY BLESSINGS FOR IT (1,2,3….) i only woke up at two in the afternoon tadi and made my way to chong hock to get oceans 11..12 and 13 on dvd. skali balik doi rosak tia. nda mau pasang. damn yew pirated vcds. kalau aku kadai dvd, ku pirate lagi ni yang anu rusak ani. biar kamu. hahahaha.

oh. so my flight back from Budapest was amazing. left for frankfurt sometime in the morning ( I SPOKE TO KEVIN RUDD IN THE PLANE!&*!Y*^&@*&@! WOOOT WOOOT!! HE WAS ASKING ME ABOUT THE WEATHER IN BRUNEI!!)

..and swallowed a WHOLE sleeping pill from Frankfurt to Singapore. by the time i opened my eyes, the stewardess was asking me to pull my window shades up. it was so good to wake up to singapore without having to feel the labor pains of the 12hr ride. It was like i was in FIRST CLASS all the way hahaha. only i wasnt. seated next to me was a vietnamese father and son..they entertained each other with vietnamese songs blaring on their iphones.

but come to think of it.. baik jua i woke up to singapore ah..baik jua inda SYURGA.. wait. baik SYURGA.. mun NERAKA? astaghafirallhalazim.

ive finally discovered the wonders of sleeping pills. exsp on my long journeys to europe. i only take them when i travel though. i don’t think i could afford $3 a for a good night’s sleep …every night… for the rest of my life. lol. most people have mixed feelings when it comes to taking sleeping pills during their travels. believe me, i am AWARE of the risks concerned. but dude. when you’re expected to go straight in to work after a 15hr hour flight.. you NEED to take them, well I do. so there. sleeping pills have since become a basic human right for me. defensive jua sudah ku tu ah.

keke. anyway. my plans of having an oceans 11 marathon has been cancelled.

i am sad. i dono what to do now.

hmmm….

Insomnia in Budapest

It’s close to 1 am. Been here for almost a week now, though it feels like a life time. every time i walk down the hotel halls, it’s like walking in to a nightmare. it’s one of those ‘i-can’t-believe-this-is-happening-to-me’ moment – on freakin REPLAY.

i don’t know how else to describe what i’m going through right now. oh. wait. here’s another one. try, ‘it’s one of those Mondays..that just won’t end’. it’s ok. one thing i realize after going to one of these things, i usually come out stronger and more determined than ever………right?

oh well. sitting two seats away from Kevin Rudd.. THE Kevin Rudd made my day. ok? i kudve literally just bent over, tap him on his shoulder and say to him “hello k-rudd, i follow you on twitter”. but i didn’t. of course i didn’t. no. of course not.

it’s a pity that I didn’t get a chance to run across to Buda this time around. I’m still mesmerized by the beauty of this country. The hotel where i’m staying has a view of the hill sides of Buda, bejewelled with old monuments, castles and old remnants of war.

Although the more commercial shops, restaurants and hotels are situated in Pest, the locals seem to favor Buda more. for what reason, this i have yet to find out. For those of you who don’t know, the city of Budapest was originally made up of two cities:- Buda and Pest both separated by the Danube river and presently, connected by bridges.

the best thing ive learnt being in the job so far is NEVER to have high expectations. this way you’ll constantly be surprised.

there. something to smile about Monday. (it’s technically Tuesday now)

its 1am.

heh. the time is showing no signs of me going in to bed anytime soon.

someone, pinch me?

i can’t believe ive only been working for 1.5 years. rasanya mcm berpuluh puluh ribu juta tahun ayam sudah ku sini ani. eh kenapa tia ada ayam atu? hehehe. taking a little bit of a time out to entertain my ‘freggues’ (friends+colleagues) back home. hi kamu.

i am soooo loooooking forward to my trip to melbourne nxt week. it’s just so comforting to know that at the end of this trip there will be A NON WORK RELATED trip waiting for me.

tapi nya…

AKU macam BALUM (double tick) CONFIRM TICKET KU.
